Eden Mills Community Hall
7:00 pm Tuesday September, 19, 2017
Eden Mills Community Hall
Eden Mills, ON (12 kilometers east of Guelph)
The Eden Mills Community Hall has undergone a renovation that has reduced their emissions by almost 80% and lowered energy use by more than 60%. And they’re not finished yet. This fall they are adding more exterior wall insulation that will further reduce costs and their impact on the environment. This year it will become a Net Zero Energy building. That is, they have made their building so efficient that they can offset all of their energy needs by solar panels now installed on the roof.
Community buildings like places of worship, performance halls and meeting places, provide a great opportunity for administrators to save money on energy, reduce their impact on the environment and become examples for the broader society.
Eden Mills Community Hall has done just that.
Join eMERGE Guelph Sustainability and the Eden Mills community for an insider’s look at getting to Net Zero energy.
This is a free event, however, registration is necessary. Register HERE.
A suggested donation of $10.00 at the door to help offset costs will be greatly appreciated
