COVID-19 Protocol
To help ensure the health and safety of our clients, staff and the community during our Home Tune-Up we have instigated a COVID-19 protocol.
Note that our staff will conduct a COVID Rapid Test on themselves prior to arriving at your home. They have also received the two shots of the COVID vaccine.
- eMERGE will send you a COVID-19 Home Tune-Up Screening Form (sample) the day before your appointment. At that time, please read, sign and submit the form.
- You, other members of your household and eMERGE staff agree to adhere to physical distancing of 2 metres (6.5 feet) at all times during the Home Tune-Up. If possible, we ask that only one member of the household be present during the Home Tune-Up.
- The wearing a mask or face shield during the appointment is mandatory. However, if you are unable to do so for medical reasons, we ask that you wait outside for the duration of the Home Tune-Up, weather permitting. If this is not possible, we ask that you wait in a separate room from eMERGE staff. A mask, based on public health authority standards, will be worn by eMERGE staff throughout your Home Tune up.
- Our advisor will not share personal items or supplies such as phones, pens etc. Work and inspection areas touched by our staff will be wiped down with disinfectant. This will include faucets, light switch plates, etc. For surfaces that cannot be sanitized our advisors will disinfect their hands prior to coming into contact.
- Handshakes will be avoided during the greeting. Shaking hands are a standard greeting in businesses, but we are taking extra precaution to limit interaction with residents and cutting back on social contact including handshaking.
Our staff maintain the right to refuse work in your home if they do not feel safe.
