DESCRIPTION:eMERGE  Guelph and Royal City Hero present: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBass guitarist\, Karen Farbridge\, is the 2019 Royal City Hero – Climate Change Edition. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhile Karen has played in several garage bands over the years\, unfortunately none of them enabled her to make her real mark on climate change. Instead she’s made a profound impact on people and communities around the country – without becoming a rock star.\nShe went from grass roots organizing with her early work at OPIRG\, to a PhD in Zoology and then became the first female Mayor in Guelph.
