Long Time Community Member Brings New Leadership to eMERGE Guelph

Long time community member Evan Ferrari has been named the new Executive Director of eMERGE Guelph. The not-for-profit organization helps people save money by managing their energy, waste, and water, opting for alternative transportation and sustainable food choices.

“Evan joins eMERGE with a wealth of relevant experience and the key skills that the Board was seeking in its next ED.” stated Tom Ewart, the Chair of the eMERGE Board of Directors. “He has run several organizations and is highly-connected in our community. Evan brings to eMERGE the experience, skills and passion to help all Guelphites save money through more sustainable living.”

“This is what I’m built for”, says Ferrari. “I’ve been helping folks reduce their energy costs since my 20s in volunteer and work capacities. I love eMERGE’s approach. It’s got my fingerprints all over it.”

Since 2013, eMERGE (www.emergeguelph.ca) has delivered programs to Guelphites looking to save money, save energy, and connect with their neighbours to help build stronger community in the city. The organization has experienced a period of rapid growth over the last year and is ready to extend it’s reach into the community to help more people save money by saving energy and living more lightly on our planet.
