Energy: Invisible Waste In Your Home

August 10 @ 11:45 am - 12:30 pm

In Canada, we waste 2/3 of all energy we consume. To fight climate change, we must chip away at this number – ASAP.

Rasha Abusitta

Rasha gets to the bottom of energy –  the invisible waste in your home. Using efficiency and conservation techniques, she motivates people to cut their waste energy, save money, and reduce their impact on the environment.

She has a rich experience in renewable energy and carbon abatement policies for government agencies. She is a certified Trainer from the Global Canadian Council and employs her knowledge in empowering women and youth to become more fulfilled and rewarded.

As the Sustainability Program Coordinator at eMERGE, she coordinates the Home Tune-Up program by motivating residents towards small solutions that lead to huge savings on utility bills.

About eMERGE

eMERGE Guelph fights climate change to build a healthy society.

It does this by helping people reduce energy and water use. Promoting smart behavior, policy, and improved efficiency helps Guelph build a road map to beat climate change and achieve 100% renewable energy by 2050. This has the added benefit of a healthier community and a more resilient local economy that can save people money.
